Trinity is truly blessed to have Debbie on the bench. She has served as organist for over 7 years and has the ability to prove it. Her postludes are legendary and her preludes always set the mood for worship and reception of the things of God.
She has her own podcast for those who wish to subscribe to her playing. Her podcast is very informal and contains not only her organ music but also piano music for her mother and members of her family. She is a real joy to work with and always seems to have the right piece of music on hand at the right time. She is in great demand for weddings, etc.
Alexis is our Cruicifer at Trinity. She leads the worship leaders into the church in Sunday carrying the Crucifix into the Sanctuary for morning worship. She also helps with Acolyte duties every Sunday.
She takes her service to the Church and the Lord very seriously and carries out her part with dignity and beauty. Alexis is an excellent student and a joy to be around. She is a fine example of a Christian young woman. During distribution of the Sacrament of the Altar, she stands by Pastor Butler with the Crucifix held steady as a reminder of who it is we consume at the Lord's Table.
Cantor Paul Keller
Paul is 23 years old and the son of Martin and Sammy Keller here in Evansville. His father, Martin, is the pastor of Trinity Lutheran in Darmstadt, Indiana. Paul and his wife Megan and Daughter Lexi attend here so Paul can serve as Cantor and because they live next door.
Paul leads all the liturgy at Trinity. He chants the Introits, Graduals and leads the congregation in the liturgical responses. He also helps prepare the Lord's Table and with the Distribution of Holy Communion. Paul also studies with Pastor Butler the texts for the upcoming sermons. Paul has been a wonderful help in teaching Pastor Butler video-making and audio creation in the new media. You will notice that many of the videos on this website have Paul's name in the credits.
Paul is a manager for Starbucks International and spends his spare time with his family members. He is very family oriented and says the only thing he really wants in life is to have a family like he had growing up.
Oh! Did we fail to mention he also has a Black Belt?
Yes. He does. He and Megan will have a new child, Emily, in July and the whole family feels strangely safe.
